Mr. Brady,
Eli McCormick forwarded your uReport to the Public Works Department. I have consulted with our Interim Planning and Transportation Engineer and ADA Guidelines prefer to have a flat, level surface in this case a sidewalk instead of a sloped surface such as a curb cut/ramp when entering and exiting a bus. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact Planning & Transportation Department at 812.349.3423.
Best,
Christina

I am not sure which department is responsible for sidewalks, please advise. Bloomington Transit can not build or repair sidewalks and curb cuts. I have spoken with Mr. Brady, who uses a walker, and am well aware of his challenge in stepping on and off sidewalk curb at this location. The lack of curb cut makes the BT bus stop and bus shelter inaccessible, especially for wheelchair users. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you - Eli
