Accessibility Problem:

Web Form: Terrific on the new low income sidewalk program. But residents other than property owners use them too. Please have any owner, low income or not, fix the red poor condition sidewalks. Plus there are low income families in other zones so unfortunate that they can't participate. Wouldn't it make more sense to prioritize the worst and busiest sidewalks and fix them systematically instead of by piecemeal application? An amazing sidewalk system that is kept as nice as you all do the roads would be great. Thank you for continuing your work on multiple good transportation options.

No contact information was left to respond to. The thought behind using the CDBG investment eligible areas was that in the first year of relaunching the sidewalk participation program we wanted to target areas with lower income residents. Yes, we know these are not the only areas with low income residents, but with limited funding we wanted to make sure we had a target area. We look forward to expanding the program community wide in the coming years.
