Web Form: There is a significant amount of gravel in the multi-use path by Performance Refinish Supplies. It's a notable hazard because: 1. It's at the bottom of the hill where people will already be going fast on a bike. 2. There's a fast S-curve at the bottom of the hill, potentially requiring turning in the gravel section 3. The gravel has almost the same color and texture as the path, making it difficult to see with time to react. 4. There's not usually this much gravel here, making the condition unexpected. It's been a rainy spring and I already know two experienced cyclists who have crashed due to unexpected gravel or mud in turns. I spotted this hazard too late slow fully myself and just tried to keep a straight line riding through it. I nearly rode off the side of the trail, but thankfully avoided losing control.
