Talked with Mr. Brooks regarding crosswalk.
Web Form: Wait/Walk signals at Atwater and Woodlawn are confusing. Unless someone happens to press the button before the light changes, the wait signal stays on the whole time. Foreign students get especially confused. The 3rd and Woodlawn wait/walk signals can also be confusing, but are not nearly as bad.
Talked with Mr. Brooks regarding crosswalk.
Misunderstood what he was trying to report. The wait light stays on even though the other side traffic has green. . Never changes to walk when traffic is stopped unless you push the button and then you have to wait the entire cycle again.
Thank you for reporting you concern. The crosswalk is designed to operate as you are describing, pushing button activates the walk signal.
