Officers will attempt to enforce scooter ordinance when possible, but we do not have the manpower to permanently assign a police officer to scooter enforcement. I was finally able to locate the ordinance (19.09) but the actual Municipal Code (15.58.060) has not been updated to reflect the passed amendment, so it wouldn't seem possible for officers to enforce as of yet since the ordinance simply states that it is to amend Title 15 of the BMC once it was signed by the Mayor on 8/8/19. I cannot provide a copy of the actual Municipal Code to officers since it has not been updated yet.
