Responded and added to my list of things to discuss with Lower Cascades Pilot Team. Would respond directly to the reporter, however in this case the UReport was filed anonymously
Other: I applaud the decision for the city to convert a section of old SR 37 through Lower Cascades into a bike/pedestrian trail! However, are you expecting cyclists to be able to bike down North Walnut street to access the entrance? Are there any plans to connect the entrance to any of the existing bike infrastructure in town to actually encourage usage?

I love this message! The short answer is- we're definitely thinking about it and that is the goal.. but unsure of funding for planning, row, and installation. Converting the road to a multiuse path instead of building a semi- removed multiuse path (which runs parallel to the street) makes funding available for this purpose-- but we'd need to assess with the mayors office and other city departments before setting any plans in motion.
