This project will install three traffic calming devices (speed humps) on West Allen Street between Adams Street and Patterson Drive. Two of these devices will also serve as raised crosswalks to facilitate pedestrian access to the existing bus stops (one near Mother Hubbard's Cupboard and one near The Willows Townhouses) and the third will be located approximately midway between the two bus stops. A detailed plan set is available on the City's website at https://bloomington.in.gov/engineering/projects/wallencalming. This traffic calming is specifically designed to reduce the illegal speeding that has been observed by area residents and verified by data collection.
