City of Bloomington, Indiana

closed: Resolved #172263

Other:

Other: We are smelling wood burning smoke almost every evening and night, sometimes during day time too. The smell is very strong that we have to close our windows until midnight and many times pass midnight. Despite many nightime investigation walks, we couldn't locate the source of the smell. It maybe coming from different houses. During a pandemic that targets respiration system, burning wood for recreational purposes is a hard to understand human behaviour. I suppose there is nothing to do, from a legal perspective, to stop this unreasonable action. But I wonder if an announcement by the City to invite the citizens to behave responsibly would be effective. Thank you for considering.

Jason, not sure if this would go to you all, but I didn't know if there was anything you could add to the issue. Thank you!
