I provided information on the progress of our updated traffic calming policy, added this location to a list which will be reviewed when the Requests for Projects opens, and provided my personal contact information should there be any questions or concerns in the meantime.

We are currently sending our new Traffic Calming policy through council in the hopes that the new and streamlined process for traffic calming will be ready to roll-out in January 2021. We will be sure to reach out to the Neighborhood Association and the residents who've been asked to be alerted to the new policy once it is before City Council. I understand this isn't as timely as you would like, but the improved process is the best way to be able to take actionable steps support speed compliance from motorists. If you would like to be added to the email updates as the policy is heard in our Traffic Commission and Bicycle Pedestrian Safety Commission- please email me at rickbeilm@bloomington.in.gov. Thank you.
