uReport

City of Bloomington, Indiana

closed: Resolved #173231

Other:

Other: Although the map doesn't indicate it, there is a house on the corner that appears to be running a commercial paint company. There's a trailer with no less than 50 5 gal paint buckets and a storage trailer as well. Not sure if paint is leeching out of the trailer but it looks like crap in a residential neighborhood.

A Notice of Violation was written to this property for a different issue. While speaking with gentleman who lives here, we discussed the trailer parking on the grass as well as the buckets. He understands that parking the trailer on the grass is not allowed. He also said that the paint buckets do not have in paint in them any longer, which is something I cannot ascertain as we do not come onto private property for inspections. I let him know that is the trailer continues to be parked on the grass, he could get a Notice of Violation from the Planning and Transportation Department. The property owner seemed to understand the concerns that were presented in this uReport as well as what needed to happen to remedy them.

P&T staff had already begun enforcement on this property prior to this uReport on a different issue. The storage trailer and parking on the grass is not allowed, but there is no indication that a business is being run out of this property.
