City of Bloomington, Indiana

closed: Resolved #173966

Parks & Playgrounds:

Other: See picture. Previous problem still going on! Daily! Not only is there tons of trash and a large social gathering, there are daily fights, drug use, etc. There are tons of laws being broken daily. “resolved” means they are fixed. They are not and have been going on for years! Bloomington tax payers want their city and parks back! It’s your job Paula McDevitt. If you don’t want to do it, step down. You are being held accountable. The law is the law and not up to your opinions/discretion.

The department has been addressing the environment at Seminary Park all season. Park Maintenance clean up the park several times a day 7 days a week; Public Health in Parks program started in late September bringing several partnership organizations(IU Health Bloomington, Monroe County Health Dept and Centerstone) to the park with resources to address the public health, mental health and homelessness issues. The Social Work task force is also working on these challenges we are facing.
