Sign at Rogers and Patterson has been removed. The signs along Rogers street for termite control and painting services will not be removed, but rather a letter will be sent to the homeowners. This is likely a case of someone not realizing that a sign is in the ROW, not their yard. With folks working from home more than ever, staff are trying to not create contentious situations. Someone could perceive a contentious situation if they believed, wrongly, that we were entering their yard and taking their sign. Therefore, staff will be sending informational letters to the homeowners with a compliance date. If the date is not met, enforcement will escalate. These letters were not sent earlier because while we discussed how to handle this issue, we found ourselves in the period of non-enforcement surrounding the general election. We expect the letters to go out soon, but delays can take place due to remote working arrangements.
