uReport

City of Bloomington, Indiana

closed: Resolved #174176

Trails:

Other: West side of b line just south of sixth street. Planter blocking path, restricting effective width of b line to about six feet. The path was engineered to a ten foot width, and parks and rec director testified to council that b line conforms to engineering standards. Did an engineer sign off on this path width restriction right at its most congested point?

Thanks Greg. I'm following up on some outstanding uReports and came across this one. I don't know when it was changed, but while the planters are still there, the gap is 10'+. You obviously know that planters and blocks are used to help delineate trail from the road and prevent auto use of the trail, but they don't need to be quite that narrow. Let me know if you have further concerns.
