Other: Rollerbladed Clear Creek today, the new portion the County must have opened in the last 1.5 years or so? Was awesome. It is unfortunate how little attention the City pays to skating accessibility. Smooth surfaces are key. Bike and pedestrian commission doesn't even mention skating. Can a skate-specific person be appointed please? Skaters take up less space in the same area compared to bicycles and can easily be thrown in a bag or office. It'd be nice to see more skating commute options. It's not all about boards destroying curbs or whatever people think. I'm certainly no teenager or 20-year-old anymore. Particularly there needs to be an east-west trail in town that goes from far east like the lazer tag place and Summerhouse all the way to campus, and then over to the B-line.

I like the idea! As of right now the purpose of the BPSC is written in code to support Bicyclists, Pedestrians and Runners. However, the BPSC has been discussing updating the purpose of the commission in the municipal code. I can def. bring the comment to them during their next meeting (typically held the second Monday of every month at 5:30pm). Also, right now all of our commission appointments are filled until January 2022; but if you, or someone you know would be interested in applying- you should consider putting in an application and or attend our meetings to share your experiences.
Mallory - see comments here.
Thanks for the comment. I hope you're able to enjoy rollerblading on many of our paved city trails, including the B-Line, Rail Trail, Clear Creek Trail, Jackson Creek Trail, and Renwick Trail. Definitely also check out some of the county trails -- as you mentioned, the Limestone Greenway (which extends south from the Rail Trail) and the Karst Greenway (west side of town) would both be good options. Along with other city departments, like Planning & Transportation, we continue to look at ways to make more east-west connections in town. I'm also going to route to Mallory Rickbeil, who is the city's liaision to the Bike/Ped Commission, so she can see your thoughts and add anything she has.
Tim - I think you would be able to talk to trails that this person might use. Thanks B.
