I did some research last year on our B-Line Crossing and how to review/ respond to each intersection for comfort and safety. Based on my understanding of the traffic volumes, speeds, and frequency of use from pedestrians, bicyclists, and users on the path- it seems that a beacon may not be the best fit for this location. Patrick Dierkes is the Project Engineer who is heading up Phase 1 of the Hospital Re-Use Site and this intersection is part of that project area. I would reach out to Patrick ([email protected]) with your observations and he will be able to use that information as he plans the best treatment for the intersection as it continues to change in the coming years.
