closed: Can't Fix #176722

Biking & Walking:

Other: Resident requested a crosswalk be painted for child safety on E Morningside across Sheffield. Asked the neighborhood association to do it but I figure we need to run that by the City first. If that's something you can do or authorize. A street art one would be awesome but normal is fine too. The striping on the crosswalks of N Smith and Morningside is getting a little worn again too.

Hi Andrew, I'm not sure who in Engineering would decide if a crosswalk would be preferred at the intersection of N. Sheffield Drive. I provided information about possible street art, but I wasn't sure about the crosswalk aspect.

I am not sure on the striping for a crosswalk. I will bring this to the attention of the engineering department for comment. As it relates to art, that is possible. Local Motion Grants will be opening soon, and I would encourage your Neighborhood Association to apply for funding to pay for materials for a street mural. Otherwise HAND grants have been used for this purpose in the past. Let me know if you would like to discuss Local Motion Grants more.
