closed: Resolved #177315

Biking & Walking:

Other: See case 177221 https://bloomington.in.gov/crm/tickets/view?ticket_id=177221 The resolution here is disappointing. Cyclists need to be able to clear intersections before lights turn red. For reference, my bike weights in at about 30 pounds and is not lightweight.

Resident stated the signal was changing too quickly while heading northbound on bicycle. Signal timing consultant reviewed and revised the minimum green times for all four (NB/SB/EB/WB) approaches. They were set at 5 seconds so we increased to 10 seconds. This will not have a noticeable impact to vehicular traffic, but should help with the noted concern.

I can't say that I know about our traffic signals. Neil, would you have any information on signal timing that may be helpful?
