The path has been repaved and is now ADA compliant.
Other: Hello! The path for students to walk to/from school is not safe. The crossguard cannot help students cross at High and Greenbriar AND navigate around the closed sidewalk. The gravel/dirt path needs to be completed ASAP so students, parents, staff, and other residents can walk safely. My assumption is that path cannot be complete until the electrical lines in front of 2102 High Street are relocated. If this is the case, please let me know who I can contact about relocating the electrical lines so the path can be paved and this project can be wrapped up. We were told the path would be complete by the start of the school year and are becoming increasingly frustrated with the unsafe environment.

Gayle, The City meet with the contractor last Friday in order to get this resolved as soon as possible. The section south of Rock Creek had a completion date in August, while the section north of Rock Creek has a completion date of November. The contractor has completed all of the drives and will be in this week or next to repair the asphalt path. The area with the down-guys on the utility pole will have a temporary path installed so that the path can be opened until the utility company completes their work. I will leave this issue open for now as we all keep an eye on the project over the next couple of weeks to see the pavement repairs. Thank you, Roy Aten
