Other: I recently purchased a house, but the easement property behind (Duke) has been a debris pit for somebody in the neighborhood. It seems to be mostly leaves on top, but there are also tires & chairs floating inside.The pile is starting to slide into my property. I am not sure what to do, since it is easement property. I would like to eventually put up a fence in the back, but the sliding debris pile would problem ruin any ability to do that. If this department cannot help with this situation, please direct me to a department that can. Rebecca Rice
This is the responsibility of the owner to address.
The area behind your garage is not an easement, but a platted alley. It is Right of Way owned by the City. You as the adjacent property owner are responsible for cleaning and maintaining this property, just as you are responsible for mowing the tree plot and shoveling snow from the sidewalk in winter.
