The contractor has installed additional barridades and pavement markings. Working with Duke to have the down-guys removed.
Other: This tension wire is a hazard for cyclists and needs to be well lit for better visibility in the dark. Reflectors on the wire and along the bend in the path would also add to the safety. I am a 7th grade student at Jackson Creek Middle School. I ride my bike to school every day on the High St recreational path at around 7:30 am. It is dark at that time and I use lights on my bike. On Friday, Nov 5, I was biking down the hill towards this spot. I was going fast down this hill to have enough speed for the uphill right past this spot. Unfortunately, even with my bike light, the tension wire and the sudden bend in the path is hard to see in the dark. My shoulder hit the tension wire and knocked me off my bike. My bike had minor damage to the seat.

Hi Reuven - I am sorry you had this experience while riding your bike along the multi-use trail along High St. The City's Engineering Department was responsible for this project so I have sent your uReport to Roy Aten to take care of this situation. I will also follow up with him in person. Thank you- Paula
