City of Bloomington, Indiana

closed: Resolved #178141

Accessibility Problem:

Other: The City owns TWO Historic Buildings. The Waldron AND The Banneker. One serves white residents. The other serves Black residents. One is getting a $500k renovation. The other desperately needs roof, HVAC, windows, flooring, masonry and drainage repair. Recover forward should honor ALL residents of Bloomington. Black and white. Invest in The Banneker.

Beverly says "I would let Mary Catherine respond to this. All of our buildings are available to all residents but historically Banneker is seen as a building for the Black community. I think this is an external messaging issue. MC can get input from Paula if needed."
