uReport

City of Bloomington, Indiana

closed: Resolved #178145

Traffic Related Complaints:

Other: Very narrow intersection when vehicles are parked along sidewalk. Cars driving south on N Fairview toward the intersection drive fast up the hill and cannot be seen by vehicles advancing north on N Fairview if the south-bound car has not yet reached the intersection. Not enough room for two directional traffic because of the vehicles parked on the side of the road.

Thank you for submitting this uReport. Staff visited this section of N. Fairview St. and did not notice any issues. There are a couple of strategic no parking signs. However, generally, the city support street parking because it can provide a traffic calming effect in addition to providing a place for people to park their vehicle.
