Grading or earth-moving on a single family residential site does not require a permit. When staff drove past the site, we did not observe any large metal objects in the yard. Additionally, we did not observe a fence violation. However, our staff investigates complaints from public right-of-way and does not go onto private property. If the non-compliant fence was along the back of the property, for example, we would need permission from an adjacent property owner to enter their property in order to check on the fence. Could more information be provided as to the non-compliant fence so that we can investigate more thoroughly? My email address is cartere@bloomington.in.gov. Thank you.
