The traffic signals on this street are coordinated in a way to encourage speed limit compliance, but I have no doubt that there are still some people who illegally speed. The City is in the process of initiating a corridor study, as recommended by the Transportation Plan, to determine the future design of both College and Walnut. One desire of that study will be to align the street's design with the desired travel speed. In the meantime we will also look into temporary or near-term options to highlight the visibility of these crosswalks.
