closed: Resolved #178942

Fire Hazards:

Other: The Avenue refuses to fix their faulty fire alarm system and may be abusing it. Residents do not know if the alarms are real or not. This is resulting in people staying in their apartments when the alarm goes off. This is extremely dangerous and people’s lives may be at stake. The Avenue is solely responsible for this mess

At the time of my visit the alarm indicated normal operation. I spoke to the property manager about their alarm and she stated that they had an alarm on Saturday night due to someone maliciously opening multiple test valves on the sprinkler system which caused the alarm. A technician was called and the problem was resolved. When the horns and strobes where turn back to normal operation they sounded again as this sometimes happens. The system is functioning as required and there is no issue at this time.
