Other: I moved into the new apartment complex at 1301 S Walnut St this past August. Until last week, there was ample parking available on Driscoll St. that tenants in my complex could use. Last week, though they painted the curb yellow (half of the block 100 E Driscoll and 1200 S Walnut), taking away 3 to 4 parking spaces. This was not communicated to myself or the other tenants in the building. If the building has been occupied since August, why is the street just now being painted? Myself and the other residents of my building are not happy that so much parking space has been taken away this late into out leases. The amount of space now marked as a no parking zone is excessive, causing major inconvenience for myself and the other people who park on Driscoll Street regularly. I just received a citation today for being parked partially in this area and I am very frustrated as I used to park there regularly with no issues.

Sara - After many close calls and issues with safety, City staff these investigated complaints and concluded that safety standards of removing parking for 50 feet from the intersection with Walnut was the solution that was necessary. The property owner was informed of this in advance and was asked to notify tenants.
The area painted yellow is a fire lane area for this complex, by city code, it is no parking
