Street & Traffic Signs:

Other: i live in the barclay square apartment complex. Every day when I pull out of my apartment complex cars speed past along S Walnut Street Pike. This is a residential area with children waiting outside for their buses, as well as some folks walking their dogs. I believe that if there was a stop sign along S Walnut Street Pike it would minimize the risks of motor vehicle accidents or putting pedestrians in danger.

I have added this intersection/general location to a tracking sheet and we will begin reviewing it for potential traffic calming measures. In the meantime, please feel free to email me at roblingr@bloomington.in.gov

Hi there, this could potentially be a good case for the Resident-Led Traffic Calming program. The addition of a stop sign is unlikely due to the current design and designation of the roadway, but other measures may be possible with further review. The program runs on a yearly grant cycle - which opens in January of every year. If you would like to be notified when the Resident Led program is open for projects please sign up here : https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdXC9K68fSup2fpLx1nCNLpXO9fNJ49_Z7Vx3GwObep4sAEqQ/viewform If you would like more information on how the program works, and what to expect- please email me at roblingr@bloomington.in.gov . Thank you.

Stop signs would not be an appropriate speed control tool. Reassigning case to Planning and Transportation.
