Animal Control & Neglected Pets:

Other: We in the McDoel Gardens have been seen a increase of those disease borne ticks. This is another reason to get rid of Deer in town. Can we get some intown deer removal?

We are currently looking into the number of deer in town and options for management. Unfortunately a reduction in deer population has not been shown to make a difference in the number of ticks. Ticks have many other hosts that cause their spread and transmit the tick born diseases. The next time you see one of our local opossums, know that they consume a large amount of ticks and serve as a natural control
