Other: There is a bus stop at south clarizz blvd and woods at Latimer, however there is no street light near the bus stop. It is very unsafe and difficult to access the bus stop after 9 pm or after 5 pm in the winters. And since it’s a busy street it is often dangerous to cross the road to get to the apartments nearby. The turn for E stratum way and s clarizz blvd also needs a street light! As a woman I feel quite unsafe trying to get to my apartment later in the evenings
Responded to the resident's email and location is on the 2023 new installation list.
I will request an outdoor lighting service agreement from Duke Energy at this location for a new street light to determine the associated costs.
Good Morning, Thank you for sending a uReport regarding a street light location request at the intersection of S Clarizz Blvd & the entrance to Woods at Latimer and S Clarizz Blvd & the entrance to Stratum. Each year the City installs street lights at locations requested by residents dependent upon available funding. These lights are leased through Duke Energy. I will place your request location for S Clarizz & entrance to The Woods on my worksheet. Since there is an existing bus stop at this location it will receive a high priority status. In regards to the request location for S Clarizz & entrance into the Stratum, there is already an existing street light on the south west corner.
