Other: these people are calling locally and telling people they are duke energy 800-691-0475 and saying that you are scheduled for disconnect and to call this number to pay the bill. i called and they have the duke energy recording all set up, but it is clearly not duke enegry! This FRAUD NEEDS TO BE STOPPED IMMEDIATELY to prevent elderly from being scammed!

Unable to confirm that the calls are originating from within the jurisdiction of the Bloomington Police, and most actually originate outside the US. BPD will attempt to post about the scam on social media to make people aware, but we have no way to determine where it is originating.
