Good afternoon,
The City was pleased to initiate a Living Wage Ordinance which will again increase City employee wages starting in 2023. When thinking about compensation packages, it’s helpful to remember to include the entire benefits package, which in the case of the City of Bloomington is among the best out there. And additional employee benefits are being proposed in the 2023 budget.
In an effort to provide excellent customer service to folks who come to City Hall for assistance, we now staff the front desk in the atrium with two employees. Usually one is from our public works department and the other is likely from one of the other departments with a busy customer service profile. This is particularly helpful as we are now providing almost all customer service functions in the atrium.
