Other: Seminary park area is, as always, full of Trash and abandoned personal possessions. Trash is being blown everywhere in the area including several retail areas. Some of the retail areas are abandoned or vacant. Regardless these retailers should not be accountable to pick all this trash up since the city cannot take care of the problem! There are also several homeless in the area with stolen shopping carts. Police need to intervene and return the stolen items to the owners. I continue to not understand why the city doesn’t take action or laws/rules in violation!!!!
Will ask HAND staff to monitor for trash and debris on private property.
Parks custodial crews and security patrols continue to visit Seminary Park daily (and sometimes more often) to clean up the park. We appreciate the concern and are doing all we can to keep it clean. I am redirecting to Adam Wason as I believe he can better respond re: the trash around closed businesses in the area.
