John Zody emailed constituent to let them know that the City/HAND cannot regulate landlord/tenant disputes, but sent him legal resource contact information. I also told him he could call HAND if he thought it had to do with the condition of the renal unit.

Mr. Todd, We received your UReport regarding what you are mentioning could be lease violations with your landlord. The City HAND department is unable to regulate disputes between landlords and tenants. We recommend you call legal resources, which could include Student Legal Services (if you are a student), or IN Legal Services otherwise if a private attorney is not an option (contact info. below). If there is an issue with the condition of your rental unit that might require or have to do with an inspection, you can call our department at 812.349.3401 and we can try to answer questions for that. Student Legal Services: IN Legal Services: 812.339.7668 Student Legal Services: 812.855.7867 Thank you for your message. John Zody City of Bloomington HAND

Hi John, This sounds like an apartment/inspection issue? Let me know if you need ESD to do anything, otherwise turning it over to HAND for follow up. Alex
