City of Bloomington, Indiana

closed: Resolved #182603

Street Trees:

Other: For the fourth time in the past 18 months, the tulip poplar planted in the easement in 2021 is still dead. It has been dead since March of 2022 when it was reported as dead. The City has ignored this dead tree since it was reported as dead more than a year ago, when the City acknowledged it as dead and slated to be replaced in 2022. It's now 2023 and nothing has happened. This tree is pining for the Fjords!

When this was originally reported dead, it was under warranty with the contractors that did the work. Following up with the contractors again currently and if all else fails we will replace it.
