Trash:

Other: I have lived at my address 5years And since December of 2022 my husband's been on dialysis at home we acquired quite a bit of medical waste as he treats 5 times a week. The problem I'm having is I made a agreement with the supervisor of sanitation to take 7 bags of medical waste for $20. When I got my bill It was seventy dollars When I called about it I got a phone call back and they said some other things had been placed outside of that 7 bags and that's why they. Charged me the $70. We live on a fixed income and they justified it saying that some people get 3 or $400 bills of trash when students move out. I thought there was a cap on it evidently that's not the case. I don't think it's fair that I can't go get another trash service because I live in city limits. And there's no other way for me to get rid of this medical waste. I can't even make a statement by not paying the $70 because then my water will get shut off and he needs water for his machine. Things worked so much better when you bought trash stickers and popped them on the bags you needed to get rid of big mark up to pay $10 now instead of $1 AND Pay for your trash can.

Karin, I am sorry about the extra bills however, it is in the City Ordinance that anything outside the can is $10. We did give you a break on the 7 extra bags but the larger items had to be charged for.
