John Zody contacted Brawley Group, who manages the property, and spoke to staff there (Jeff Brawley) to convey the issue. Following this conversation on July 3, 2023, the maintenance department at Brawley responded immediately. They said the equipment blocking the north stairway would be removed, and that the tenant living in the unit there would move stuff out of the way. Zody subsequently asked a HAND staffer to drive by the property the week of July 3 to verify things had been moved.
