Traffic Suggestions:

Other: the 1700 blk of N Washington St is extremely difficult to drive on. constantly cars are parked on both sides of the street. there are no parking signs on the north bound side, but not on the south bound side. Also, is there a plan to place no parking signs in the 300 and 400 block on East 19th St? This area is also impassable throughout the day and night hours. Thank you.

Staff has discussed this item. City code states that a minimum roadway width of 12' must be maintained for free movement of vehicular traffic (15.32.140). Currently there is ~17'-19' of roadway width available in those sections where it is most narrow. Parked vehicles act as a deterrent for excessive speeding and there are already limited parking spaces the area. Because of these factors staff decided to keep parking as is for the time being but these concerns have been noted for future projects.
