Other: I am not finding where to record my concern of the proposed jail. It should not be in a highly populated residential area that includes an elementary school. There has to be a better location. The one property was rejected due to wrong zoning. I know that zoning can be changed. If it proceeds in this populated area and property values go down, will taxes go down also? There is always a chance of escape, why put a lot of people at risk and being fearful. Thank you, Ruth Holman 1429 W Petal CT.

Thank you for your report, Ruth. Ultimately the decision on the new jail site will be made by the county, not the city. So we would suggest you reach out to your County Commissioner to share any feedback you have on the issue.
