Hello Susan,
I looked into your concern. The property at 516 S. Woodlawn has applied for a building permit. It is being reviewed by our department and concurrently by the Monroe County Building Department. Generally, when changes to a property are all permitted by-right under code, then there is no requirement to notify adjacent properties. At this time, they have not applied to build a garage or an apartment above a garage. staff will review their permit for compliance and relay to them that only what is approved with the permit is allowed.
