Other: Property next to mine 516&518 south Woodlawn has been gutted with a pending permit and even more of a concern is the workers indicated a driveway and garage with a apartment on top is next I would like some input as this directly impacts my property

Hello Susan, I looked into your concern. The property at 516 S. Woodlawn has applied for a building permit. It is being reviewed by our department and concurrently by the Monroe County Building Department. Generally, when changes to a property are all permitted by-right under code, then there is no requirement to notify adjacent properties. At this time, they have not applied to build a garage or an apartment above a garage. staff will review their permit for compliance and relay to them that only what is approved with the permit is allowed. If you have additional questions, please call our department at 812.349.3423 and ask to speak with the Development Services Manager, Jackie Scanlan.
