City of Bloomington, Indiana

closed: Resolved #186292

Trash:

Other: Observed city sanitation personnel leaving trash in their wake as they did the weekly collection. I had guessed this was happening, but finally saw with my own eyes. Often they leave the emptied bins in lanes of travel as well, when the bins were not set in the road. FYI - just hoping this can be improved so our neighborhood is free of litter.

Per City Code, collection will only occur for items placed in the carts with the lids completely closed. When solid waste or recycling volumes are high for a given week, additional pickups can be coordinated at bloomington.in.gov/sanitation. We will drop materials at this address informing them of our policies. As for the paper item in the street, we strive to keep all materials in our trucks once collected, but at times items fall out and are not noticed.
