Blocked Sidewalk:

Other: Hello! The sidewalk (north side) of Vermilya going towards Walnut has quite a bit of mud and debris that has left the sidewalk quite dangerous. I walk this on my way to work and have slipped a number of times. (There also are a number of overgrown plants, which doesn't help matters.) Is this upkeep the responsibility of the residents? Can something be done to make it safer? Thank you!

Following-up again, we have received follow up from adjacent property owners. Some of the required cleanup/repairs will take a couple of months to be seen fully through (retaining wall repairs, etc) but hopefully incremental changes will be seen fairly quickly with everything looking much better by springtime

Staff has inspected site and will be issuing violations to adjacent property owners for mud/sediment, vegetation and gravel over portions of sidewalk. With the upcoming inclement weather, it is likely that these issues may take some time to resolve

Staff will inspect tomorrow. To answer the question, property owners are responsible for maintaining vegetation and cleanliness of the sidewalks per city code.
