City of Bloomington, Indiana

closed: Resolved #187317

Sidewalk Requests:

Other: I watch people walk by my house all day and worry about cars who constantly cut the corner. Today I heard a man yelling at a jogger to run on the sidewalk, but there isn't one. There is much more foot traffic in this neighborhood with the b line trail having a path right onto Bryan Street. I wouldn't mind a sidewalk going around my house

I have added this location to the annual sidewalk inventory list review. I have also included information regarding the SS4A webmap which can be used to identify safety issues in the City.

Thank you for your report. We have added it to our sidewalk inventory list, which is evaluated annually. I will ensure that it is fully evaluated in the upcoming cycle. While we can't provide a timeline at this time, your input contributes to our efforts to improve pedestrian infrastructure. Additionally, the City has recently launched an SS4A webmap and survey aimed at enhancing roadway safety through community engagement. The webmap allows you to pinpoint areas with safety issues, share insights, and propose enhancements. We'll be using this data to inform future projects aimed at enhancing roadway safety. If you could take a minute to contribute your input, including any other areas you've found unsafe, we would greatly appreciate it. Please feel free to reach out to me (Ryan Robling) directly if you have any questions or concerns 812-349-3459
