Thanks for the report - we can consider language about retractable leashes on future versions of signage, but as the signage was just replaced
I of course would hope trail users would exercise good sense and keep dogs close on busy trails but that is obviously and unfortunately not always the case.
Regarding your question on the striping - glad to hear you like it. The thermoplastic that was used to stripe the asphalt will not stick to concrete, which is why the bridges were excluded. We will continue to monitor the trail for safety improvements. We will be striping two "SLOW" signs on the top of the Grimes bridge this spring best, and adding "SLOW" signs on either side of the busy area of Switchyard Park as well.
