Other: The 3rd street bicycle lane adjacent to the IU campus has been massively improved with the newly installed barriers! This section of the commute takes me 3 fewer minutes to bicycle on now that drivers don't block the bicycle lane. Biking in this lane feels so much safer and more comfortable with the barriers up, especially since considering drivers tend to go pretty fast on this road. Also, the barriers don't look like an eyesore at all, which is something I previously read that IU officials were concerned about. The barriers blend into the background enough to not be garish, but they are still clearly visible to drivers and cyclists. Honestly they're pretty stylish for bicycle lane barriers. As a bicycle commuter, even small-scale projects like this make me feel cared about by the city. It makes me glad to be a Bloomingtonian! Laissez le B-Town rouler!
