Sewer Problems (Storm Sewers): Request

Phone Call: called into city hall - K.Cummings, AHA inputting this issue -- John stated that he has called several times regarding this issue - there are two storm drains, one directly in front of his residence and another that is across the street that are in need of repair. John advised that the grates are too low, causing them to consistently get debris on them, causing flooding.

We've been looking at this area to try and figure out an engineering solution and we continue to investigate it. This address is at the bottom of the hill and collects debris and water from the west during rain events. We try and keep the drains clear and I know the DPW Brighten B-Town crew has worked in this area as well. We've looked at the depth of the grates, compared to the road, and do not see an issue with them. I will evaluate them again.
