The City of Bloomington leases street lights from Duke Energy. The City has reached out to Duke Energy regarding the upcoming Solar Eclipse and were informed that they cannot turn off all of the lights for this event. Each fixture is equipped with a sensor on top of the fixture head that turns the light off at dusk and back on at dawn.
