closed: Can't Fix #188160

Other: Someone in this general area is playing extremely loud music. This began last night at around 1:30a.m. I attempted to call the proper phone number ((812) 339-4477) to file a noise complaint, but the call never connected. I attempted to call three or four times before giving up. Today, it has started again, in the same general area, and again, I was unable to call to file a noise complaint. I have had issues with trying to file a noise complaint in the past - either I get placed on hold for an hour (or until I give up), or the call refuses to connect. I've spoken to others who have described similar issues, so I know this isn't just on my end. There needs to be an online method to file noise complaints since the phone system does not seem to be reliable. Either way, since I couldn't file a complaint over the phone, I am doing so here.

It appears this uReport was filed on 4/27, so BPD is unable to respond to the noise complaint at this time. The phone number provided in the uReport is the correct number for a member of the community to call to report a noise complaint (812-339-4477). I personally called the phone number after receiving this uReport and it appears to be functioning properly. Unable to contact the complainant due to no contact information being provided.
