AEG has completed the restoration of the flowerpot that houses the connection point for fiber and the gate is able to be opened and walked through again.
Other: The portion of my property with a utilities right of way and that I am maintain is now blocked in a hazardous way. I open my gate as of yesterday May 2, 2024 to a deep 2-3 foot hole that now has 2 large pipes sticking up above ground level constituting a direct hazard to my rightful access. The company (Flagship Underground-phone: 773-964-9045) claims to be laying fiberoptic cable and said they were trying to locate the sewer and gas lines. What can you do to have these pipes moved and/or buried so that they not blocking my gate and presenting a tripping and access hazard? Thank you, Martha Nyikos

Hi Alex - Can you please follow-up on this uReport? Martha left me a message last week after speaking with Nancy (CBU).
City of Bloomington Utilities are only responsible for water, sanitary sewer, and stormwater. Fiber is currently being installed around Bloomington by AT&T, the City, and possibly other entities. This report is reassigned to the City Planning Dept so they can verify if this installer is contracted by them. If not, complainant will need to reach out to the installer to find out who they are contracted by and contact that company.
