City of Bloomington, Indiana

closed: Resolved #201397

Other:

Other: Not sure if this is the right department, but wanted to ask a question about priorities related to sidewalks and streets. I live on Goldin Ct on the east side. Last spring and now this spring, the city is ripping up the sidewalks and repaving them. Hard to argue with that need, but I walk them daily. In my estimation, they were not too bad at all. They do get travel, but not nearly as much as the streets. Goldin Drive and Goldin court are horrible and have been for the last two years. Pot holes, cracks, uneven road. I'm just confused as to why the there has been a two year priority on the SIDEWALKS, rather than the streets which are well traveled by cars and trucks. I'm going to attempt to attach some photos of my street to give you an idea of what I'm talking about. How do these funds get allocated and do you know when the STREET may get some attention?

Thank you for reporting this. Our supervisors looked into this and did not see any potholes. Our 2025 paving list is finalized, but we will make a note to consider Goldin Ct for future resurfacing.
