Other: There has been a grove of mature sassafras trees along the edge of the upper field at Olcott. This field is on the right as you enter the park from the road, and the grove is at the back of this field. Most of them are now dead, and the remaining ones are partially dead. Is this caused by a disease? Should some sort of action be taken?

Unfourtantly there is a "new" fungal infection effecting our sassafras population. Even more so unfortunate is that the state is not entirely sure what it is. Until there is concrete information to work off of, there is not a lot I can do.
